Langimālie Youth Employment Pathways supports rangatahi to build confidence, develop practical work-readiness skills, remove barriers, and take the next step into employment, education or training.
WHO IS THE SERVICE FOR?
For rangatahi aged 15–24:
Are not currently employed,
in education or in trainingAre facing barriers to employment,
education or trainingNeed practical support,
guidance and a clear pathwayLive in Auckland or are connected to the communities served by Langimālie Health.
Eligibility and enrolment are confirmed through an assessment by Langimālie team.
SERVICE AREA
We offer our service across the Auckland region, with a focus on our communities including Glen Innes, Tāmaki, Point England, Panmure, Mount Wellington, Onehunga, Wesley and Avondale.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
A 26-week intensive youth employment pathway, followed by 26 weeks of post-placement support when rangatahi move into employment, education or training.
PHASE 1
Weeks 1–4
Engagement, Assessment and Planning
We get to know the rangatahi, confirm eligibility, complete a needs assessment, identify strengths and barriers, and develop an individualised plan.
PHASE 2
Weeks 5–14
Work-readiness and Pathway Development
Rangatahi build confidence, communication, CV and interview skills, digital skills, life skills and realistic employment, education or training goals.
PHASE 3
Weeks 15–26
Placement Activation and Transition Preparation
Rangatahi are supported to apply for work, training or education opportunities, prepare for interviews, connect with employers or providers, and transition onto a suitable pathway.
PHASE 4
26 weeks from

Langimālie stays connected after placement starts to support attendance, confidence, problem-solving and sustained engagement.
