How to get free antiviral medicine.
If you have symptoms take a test:
Call your pharmacy or doctor
Talk through symptoms, health history and conditions, and vaccine status to check your eligibilty:
Eligibile
Pharmacy: Provides the medicine
Doctor: Sends the script to the pharmacy
Have medicine delivered ASAP by a friend, whānau or the pharmacy. Take medicine within 5 days of having symptoms.
Not Eligible
Keep monitoring symptoms. Call 111 immediately if you have trouble breathing.

Who can get free antiviral medicines
Eligible people include:
Māori or Pacific people aged 50 years or older
Anyone with 3 or more high-risk medical conditions
Anyone previously in critical or high dependency hospital care from COVID-19
Anyone with a severely weakened immune system, Down syndrome or, sickle cell disease
Anyone aged 50 years or older with fewer than 2 COVID vaccinations
Everyone aged 65 years and older
